THE BBC Proms are an annual celebration of the best classical music artists around Britain.
Here’s everything you need to know about the last night of the 2018 event…
When is Last Night Of The Proms on BBC tonight?
The BBC Proms 2018 kicked off on July 13, 2018 and concludes tonight, September 8.
You can catch all the action live on BBC Two from 7.15pm, before it switches over to BBC One at 9pm.
Viewers can expect some amazing performances from some of the nation’s top classical musicians, rounding up a fantastic eight-week summer season.
Don’t worry if you miss it, it’ll be available to watch on BBC iPlayer shortly after.
Who’s hosting the BBC Proms?
TV and radio presenter Katie Derham has been hosting the Proms since 2010.
She has presented all Proms events over the summer and is completing her hosting stint tonight, as the celebrations come to an end.
When are the BBC proms 2018? How can I get tickets?
The BBC proms 2018 began back in July and come to a close on September 8.
While the public are able to attend events throughout the summer season, ballot tickets are no longer available for tonight’s festivities.
Owing to the high demand, most of the tickets for the Last Night of the Proms are allocated by ballot.
Those who have purchased tickets to at least five concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall are eligible to enter the Five-Concert Ballot.
Entries to the ballot closed on Thursday, May 31.
There’s also an Open Ballot each year, which requires classical music fans to submit an Open ballot form by post.
The cut off date for the Open Ballot was Thursday, June 28.
Ticket prices started from £62, ranging up to £90 each.
While the event does not discourage Prommers to try their luck on the day, it is highly unlikely that tickets will become available.
It is advisable to note this in advance, to ensure you’re not disappointed or miss out.

To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
