New photo 'That's not true, I'm not a cheater': Dean Wells' cringeworthy ad for a Cheaters Edition of Monopoly

He notoriously cheated on Tracey Jewel, his 'wife' from Married At First Sight.

Despite his betrayal, Tracey, 35, took him back, but Dean Wells has never been able to rehabilitate his public image.

And his latest venture - promoting a special Cheaters Edition of Monopoly - is unlikely to do his image any favours.

Dean, 39, posted a clip to Instagram on Tuesday which shows him playing Cheaters Edition Monopoly against two versions of himself - the cocky, 'cheating' Dean Wells, and the every day 'nice bloke' Dean Wells.

The clip starts off with cheater Dean holding up the board game and asking: 'Do you want to play Monopoly?'

The other Dean, who is sitting on a lounge and scrolling through his phone, says: 'Yeah, nah you always cheat.'

'That is not true, I'm not a cheater!' the other Dean replies. 'How dare you.'

'You cheat every single time,' his other self says. 'Like, you're kind of known for cheating.'

'Yeah, maybe', Dean shrugs, and then goes to promote the new Monopoly board, where 'cheating is encouraged'. 

On the money: 'You even get handcuffed to the board if you get caught cheating,' cheating Dean says at one point, to which the other Dean replies: 'Handcuffs? Why didn't you tell me that before? Let's play'

Later in the clip, after 'good' Dean loses his money during the game, he asks his other self: 'Did you cheat?'

'Yes I did, the whole time,' 'bad' Dean replies.

Dean cheekily captioned the video: 'Umm do any of you out there actually not cheat? This guy I'm playing against can't help himself.' 

The MAFS star's followers saw the humour in the ad, writing: 'Unbelievable, a game that was born for you', 'Haha they'll sell out with you spruiking them', and, 'Yeah OK this is how annoying TV stars should sell s**t on Insta. Fair play!'

Others praised Dean for his acting ability, writing: 'Gold! I can see an offer of a role on Home and Away heading your way', and 'Awesome! Have you considered an acting career? You're a natural.'

Another wrote: 'What a great ad for a game. Producers take note: Dean has a talent for acting.'

Fellow reality TV star Ryan Gallagher, 30, posted: 'Love to see the player pieces you can choose from... you would be going straight to jail, Dean, do not pass go, just f*** off to jail.'

Ryan also referenced fellow MAFS groom Telv Williams, writing: '@telv11 gave him 20% off the board game.'
