New photo Supermodel Heidi Klum says she uses BABY SHAMPOO to wash her face

Heidi Klum has stunned the world on and off the runway as one of the world's most successful supermodels, but now she has revealed her beauty routine involves a rather inexpensive product — baby shampoo.

The 45-year-old model currently works on America's Got Talent and recently announced her collaboration with Amazon to produce a new fashion show with her 'TV husband' Tim Gunn.

In an effort to stay fresh-faced for all of her projects, Heidi told HelloGiggles that she uses Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo ($2) as a thorough and gentle facial cleanser.

Chosen: In an interview, Heidi said she likes to wash her face with Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo (left) and moisturize with Mario Badescu's Buttermilk Moisturizer (right)

'I think that whatever you give children has to be good for adults,' Heidi told the news site.

Her attraction towards using baby products for skin care first started after she got an eye infection and her doctor suggested using the items to gently wash off her makeup.

'I feel like some of the products out there are too harsh, taking out all of your natural oils out and everything,' Heidi said.

'Products that are for kids are great because they go through so much more testing. We shouldn't forget that.'

The baby shampoo is paraben-, sulfate-, phthalate- and dye-free and has been proven to be gentle to use on young children. Heidi believes that the testing these products go through compared to regular beauty products prove it to be worthy of washing her face after a day of wearing makeup.

Another product she recommends is Mario Badescu's Buttermilk Moisturizer ($18) to hydrate the skin after cleansing.

Heidi's rather cheap cleansing routine comes after it was revealed just how much it cost for her to get ready for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards with makeup artist Linda Hay.

The mother-of-four opted for a more glamorous look for the Emmy's on September  17 — which she attended as a nominee for outstanding TV host with Project Runway — that moved away from her typical bare-faced routine and cost a whopping $587 in total.

Using some of the most popular products from the brand - which is a favorite among A-list stars like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Amal Clooney - Linda created a look that would 'bring out the dusty rose color' of Heidi's Zac Posen gown.

The beauty pro began by prepping Heidi's skin with not one, but two pricey products - the Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask ($22) first, which she left on for 15 minutes while massaging it into the skin, followed by Charlotte's popular Magic Cream ($100), left Heidi's pre-makeup complexion looking dewy and hydrated.

To ensure a flawless base, Linda then prepped Heidi's face with the Wonderglow Primer ($55), which 'created a naturally glowing' finish.

Then 'to bring out Heidi's naturally gorgeous, glowing skin', Linda applied a 'light layer' of the Light Wonder Foundation ($46), explaining that this helped to 'even out and illuminate the skin'.

In order to ensure that Heidi's natural radiance was not completely concealed, Linda then used Charlotte's newly-released Magic Away Liquid Concealer to brighten the under-eye area, and to mask any imperfections.

The latest product release from the British brand contains Persian Silk Tree Bark Extract to fade dark circles, Palmitoyal Glycine to reduce fine lines, and Wild Indigo Extract to enhance luminosity - and Linda explained that it helped to leave Heidi with fresher-looking skin in just a matter of seconds, eradicating any signs of tiredness.

For a pop of color on the cheeks, Linda used the Cheek to Chic Blusher in Love Glow ($40), which features two different shades - an outer tone that you are supposed to swirl your brush in and then 'swish' onto the face, then a slightly different inner color that you 'pop' onto the skin to create a multi-dimensional flush.

The final product as far as Heidi's complexion was concerned was Charlotte's Genius Magic Powder ($45), another new launch that helps to keep oil and shine at bay without fulling any natural radiance.

For the eyes, Linda wanted to create a 'natural, fresh, light look' that focused on shimmering shades with a pink undertone, taken from the Luxury Palette Eyeshadow Quad in Vintage Vamp ($53), to bring out the color in Heidi's pale rose gown.

To further define the eyes, the makeup pro lined them with the Classic Eyeliner in Sophia ($22), before going to work on the lashes with the Life Changing Lashes Eyelash Curler ($22) and the Legendary Lashes Mascara Volume 2 ($32).

Finally, the finishing touch - the perfect lip color - which was created by layering a total of three products.

First, the Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk ($22), a natural nude shade that was used to line the lips and 'create a fuller-looking pout'. This was followed by a slick of K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink ($34), and finally a swipe of Lip Lustre in Portobello Girl ($22), which topped off what Linda called the 'perfect glossy, peachy-nude pout'.
