PARENTS have blasted a secondary school after unisex toilets were installed for pupils.

Some have vowed to take their kids out of classes in protest, saying they feel “uncomfortable”.

Jennifer Jones said: ‘They do not have unisex toilets in the workplace or hospital and I wouldn’t expect them to be at a secondary school.”

The new loos were added near the canteen at Little Lever School in Bolton over the holidays.

Head Dominic McKeon said they were segregated with floor-to-ceiling cubicles for girls on one side and boys on the other and communal sinks.

Yesterday Mr McKeon, who was appointed to the school in 2016, posted pictures of the new toilets online insisting each cubicle has “male” and “female” signs in a bid to appease parents. He also said he will “listen to the views of parents to ensure we get things right”.
