Home And Away actress Olivia Deeble is back at work following a terrifying hit on the head that caused her brain to swell. 

The 16-year-old shared a picture of herself back on the set of the popular soap on her Instagram story on Wednesday.

'We are back,' she wrote as she had her hair styled, adding in the location tag 'Channel 7 Media City'.

Olivia was seen sitting down wearing a comfortable jumper as a lady beside her was blow-drying her hair.

The return to work comes after Olivia was rushed to hospital with brain swelling and a concussion after hitting her head last week.

She told her followers: 'A couple of days ago I hit my head and was concussed with brain swelling.

'I'm fairly crook at the moment and have been to hospital a couple of times but slowly improving.'

A brain concussion is a head injury caused by a blow to the head, according to the Brain Foundation. 

Olivia, who is known for playing Raffy Morrison, told her legions of followers that she would be staying off social media so she can rest and hopes to get better soon.

'Thanks for the constant support love you all lots x (also thanks mum for taking photos of me passed out...).'

Olivia is the granddaughter of The Sullivans' actor Reg Gorman and the daughter of Kate Gorman, who starred in Neighbours in 1980s.
