He quickened up well off a decent pace to win going away. He looks capable of striking at a higher level than this and will have no issue with the trip or ground conditions.
Converter won well on his debut at Nottingham latest and is another who should have a lot more to offer.

FANAAR has been crying out for this step up in trip and ran better than ninth place suggests at York last time out.
He didn’t get the run of the race there and was a long way from the pace. He steps into handicap company from what looks a fair mark and wouldn’t have to improve much to win.

Concello is stepping up in class on the back of wins at Salisbury and then Redcar last time out. This trip is ideal and she likes a bit of cut.

GLOBAL APPLAUSE was very impressive when winning at Sandown last time and the ground was similar to today’s. He’s stepping out of handicap company today but looks an improved sprinter who could have more to offer.
El Astronaute continues in excellent form and battled well to strike at York last time. He should be fine in the ground and won’t be far away again.

ZESHOV comes here in excellent form having run away with a decent handicap at Musselburgh last time out. He had a lot more in hand than the official margin of more than three lengths and Tony Culhane was a quality pilot before retirement.
Placebo Effect should still be improving at the age of three and ran well over this distance at Thirsk latest.

THIMBLEWEED has been running well over 1m2f with wins at Salisbury and Nottingham but this step up in distance looks a very wise move.
She needed every yard when scoring last time and an opening handicap mark of 87 looks more than fair.
Crystal Hope is well bred and is another who should show more over this distance. Sir Michael Stoute has been patient and she’s dropping down from Listed level.

EUGINIO could be the answer to this trappy race where three of the four runners have strong claims. He won a similar race to this at last year’s meeting and has been running over the wrong trip or wrong grade in recent weeks.
Afaak is a decent handicapper who wasn’t beaten far at York last time. He likes it here and it will be interesting to see how he handles this longer trip.

ACCLAIM THE NATION didn’t handle Chester’s turns despite being backed off the boards. He had earlier been in good form so coming back to a galloping track should be right up his street. He is still on a fair mark and will be fine on softish ground.
James Doyle is an eye-catching booking for Foxy Forever after he ran well at Newmarket last time out.
