MEGHAN Markle was spotted drinking ‘a glass of red’ this weekend, with husband Prince Harry opting for ‘vodka cocktails’, as the pair enjoyed a boozy getaway in Amsterdam.
Earlier this week, we reported the famous newlyweds had jetted off for a weekend away to celebrate the opening of private member’s club Soho House’s latest outpost, reports the Evening Standard.
And they weren’t the only big names on the guest list.
Joining the royal couple in their revelry were actors Eddie Redmayne, Jenna Coleman – linked to Prince Harry before he married Meghan – and Douglas Booth.
Comic Michael McIntyre was also in attendance, along with DJ Nick Grimshaw, model Lily Cole, singer Ella Eyre and presenter Richard Bacon, who nearly died earlier this year after contracting pneumonia.
The stars were treated to a long weekend of “eating, drinking, napping, dancing, boats and bikes”, with a special dinner on the Saturday night to mark the 55th birthday of Soho House founder Nick Jones.

A guest at the lavish bash revealed to the Daily Mail: “On the Friday night it was more of a loose party, and Prince Harry and Meghan were circulating with everyone.
“Because she went to the opening of Soho House in Istanbul in 2015, it was a very similar invitation list, so she did know a lot of people. She spoke to everyone, and Harry never left her side. They looked absolutely in love.
“They were side by side throughout the night and sat on the top table with Jones. As the evening wore on, I think more people became emboldened to go up and talk to her. She behaved beautifully.
“There was lots of drinking — it was a proper party.”
Newspaper columnist Giles Coren was also in attendance, revealing in The Times this week that he approached the Duchess to say hello.
“‘Hi Meghan,’ I said when I found myself standing in front of her (I can’t remember how that happened),” he revealed.
“‘We’ve actually met before. My wife was a big Suits fan and came over to get a selfie with you.’ ‘Oh sure, I remember,’ she said, politely, because she can’t have.”
#SohoHouseAmsterdamRapper Tinie Tempah gave an impromptu performance, while Jones’ wife Kirsty Young paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband.
Lobster spaghetti and tiramisu were on the menu, followed by a luxurious Sunday brunch the next morning (Meghan is said to have had fruit and granola), with pampering treatments from the Cowshed spa also on offer.
Guests were also invited on a guided tour of Amsterdam’s famous red light district – given a miss by Meghan and Harry – and a boat trip down the canals.
On the Saturday night, the couple are said to have enjoyed a romantic dinner, with Meghan opting for a glass of red and Harry enjoying vodka cocktails, the Mail Online report.

In the early days of their relationship, Meghan and Harry enjoyed dates at London’s Soho House branch – where they were first introduced.
