MANCHESTER UNITED’S odds of getting relegated from the Premier League have been slashed by the bookies.

Their price has been cut from 500/1 to 250/1 – which is the Red Devils’ shortest price since David Moyes was in charge.

The odds are still huge for Jose Mourinho’s men to finish in the bottom three, but the fact they have been halved reflects the ongoing issues at the club.

Problems on and off the field at Old Trafford have affected United’s campaign this term.

The Red Devils suffered their worst start in 25 years after losing two of their opening three league games, before getting knocked out by Derby in the Carabao Cup this week.

Meanwhile off the field Paul Pogba and Mourinho have not seen eye to eye.

Their tetchy relationship hit a new low when their training ground bust up was caught on camera.

Pogba and Mourinho’s relationship appears to be beyond repair

William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “Life has been anything but rosy for Mourinho this season and things appear to be going from bad to worse following his latest row with Pogba.

“We have had to cut their odds of going down as we have seen quite the sizeable punt over the last 24 hours.”

Mourinho is also the current favourite in the sack race to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season.
