New photo Fans left heartbroken after breast cancer survivor is ‘friend-zoned’ on First Dates Hotel

FANS of First Dates Hotel were left heartbroken last night when a breast cancer survivor was friend-zoned by her date.

Despite sharing plenty of laughs together throughout the date (not to mention their visible chemistry), 34-year-old Pat brutally brushed Lauren off… but not before he softened the blow by telling her she was “amazing” for the all “things [she’s] been through.”

Despite laughing over phallic deserts and a ‘creamy’ dinner, Pat said there wasn’t a romantic spark between him and Lauren

The two, who were already “good friends” before venturing out to Italy in search of love, shared a romantic evening in the Channel 4 hotel full of laughs over phallic shaped deserts and “creamy” dinner innuendos.

However, a similar sense of humour wasn’t enough for Pat who was forced to end the evening by admitting he didn’t see a romantic future with the inspiring breast cancer survivor.

Attempting to reassure 33-year-old Lauren that he “loves her” and admires all “the things [she’s] doing”, Pat ultimately had to admit that he wasn’t attracted her in a romantic sense.

Bravely covering her disappointment by joking about how he didn’t want to “reach across the table for a snog”, Lauren then broke down in private and told cameras she is “always the f***ing friend” and never the partner.

Already a social media sensation in her own right, the First Dates Hotel contestant co-hosts the podcast You, Me and the Big C along with The Sun’s Deborah James and BBC presenter Rachael Bland – who tragically lost her cancer battle last week.

However, the vulnerable moment struck a chord with First Dates Hotel viewers, who took to Twitter to reassure her that it was “Patt’s loss”.

One user wrote: “I’m heartbroken for Lauren. Like, I’m actually crying with her. WHAT A WOMAN.”

Another added: “First time I’ve been genuinely heartbroken by First Dates Hotel. Lauren, you are a queen and I hope you find someone who sees that and treats you like one.”

Meanwhile, one well-wisher said how “Lauren is breaking my heart.”

They added: “She’s so beautiful and funny! Pat’s loss. She’ll definitely find someone, the should be queuing…”

The founder of the charity Girl vs Cancer also opened herself up to Pat on the date and revealed how she was going through early-onset menopause since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016.

Like many First Dates singletons, Lauren has also been cheated on in the past when she discovered her boyfriend had slept with another woman in their shared flat.

Considering all Lauren has been through, it will come as no surprise that viewers were hoping that Pat could be ‘The One’ for her.

Taking the old-age ‘friend-zoning’ on the chin, Lauren said: “I just want someone to walk in and see me, for me.

“I said I liked him and got knocked back, but I’ll crack on, it is what it is. Dust yourself off girl.’

Here’s hoping Lauren gets to stick around the hotel for another date…

First Dates Hotel airs on Monday at 9:15pm on Channel 4.

In even more real life stories, this 44-year-old woman who’s juggling affairs with three married men insists she’s NOT a homewrecker.

And this woman is left horrified after her dad accidentally posted an X-rated Google search on her Facebook page.

From farting in bed to asking for a key, THIS is how long it takes men and women to get comfortable in a relationship.
