GARETH SOUTHGATE has ditched his trademark waistcoat – and fans aren’t happy.
The England boss became a style icon during his incredible World Cup run, guiding the Three Lions to the semi-finals in Russia while wearing an incredibly sharp waistcoat.
It sparked thousands of copycats throughout the streets of the country, who felt the waistcoats gave them an extra edge in the fashion world.
But Southgate decided to ditch the clothing accessory for England’s Nations League opener against Spain, and supporters weren’t best pleased with his new look.
One wrote: “Southgate out for lack of waistcoast.”
Another said: “Match is already off to an awful start, Southgate doesn’t have his waistcoat on.”
