DARREN BENT has revealed that he “100 per cent” wants to join former England team-mate Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
The striker, 34, is looking for a new club after he was released by Derby County at the end of last season.
Bent spent the second half of last term on loan at Burton Albion and he has been training with them over the summer.
Boss Nigel Clough has offered the ex-England international a pay-as-you-play deal with the League One side.
But when asked if he would be interested in joining Rangers, Bent told talkSPORT: “100 per cent!
“You’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in football in Rangers.
“To get the opportunity to go up there and play – definitely.”
Bent played alongside Rangers boss Gerrard for England and he is keen to work with the 38-year-old again.
The Liverpool legend has made an impressive start to his managerial career in Scotland after he secured 15 summer signings.
But he could still need more recruits after his side lost to arch rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby earlier this month.
