The BBC made worldwide news when they announced the casting of Jodie Whittaker as the first ever female incarnation of the Doctor.
Bradley Walsh will be joining Doctor Who as a companion.
The Chase host previously appeared in two episodes of spin-off show, The Sarah Jane Adventures.
It’s unclear if Nardole – played by Matt Lucas – will return for the eleventh series.
Will Doctor Who have a new theme tune?
With Jodie as the first female lead, the whole programme is having a revamp – including the music.
The BBC has announced that new theme tune’s composer will be Segun Akinola who will take over from Matthew Herbert.
Segun will be tasked with writing the music for every episode of the programme’s eleventh series.
Fans will have to wait and hear what it sounds like though as it’s yet to be released.

What’s the history of Doctor Who and when did it return to TV?
Doctor Who was first broadcast in November 1963 and remained on the BBC until 1989.
The series follows the mysterious Doctor as they travel across space and time, saving the galaxy from dastardly villains.
Conveniently, the Doctor can regenerate if fatally wounded. This has allowed the popular show to run for over 50 years.
It was revived in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston as the time-travelling adventurer.
The Doctor has since been played by David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi.
