Karl Stefanovic is currently weathering a media storm following reports that Channel Nine bosses are keeping a close eye on the Today show's performance.
And while his long-term future at the network remains unclear, Karl appears to taking steps to take care of finances.
According to Monday's issue of New Idea, the 44-year-old was spotted meeting up with finance expert Simon O'Brien.

Taking care of business: According to this week's New Idea, Karl Stefanovic (pictured) is 'getting his financial affairs in order as he's sacked from the Today show'… as rumours swirl of a prenuptial agreement with Jasmine Yarbrough
Karl was pictured at a lunch meeting with Simon, who is a senior partner at Crestone Wealth Management and manages the TV star's finances.
The meeting comes as Karl's boss Hugh Marks fired a warning shot at the embattled Today host in the wake of rumours he could face the sack due to falling ratings.
Channel Nine's chief executive revealed that while Karl's job is safe for now, everyone on the show - 'especially Karl' - needed to lift their game.
'Clearly, it's been a tough and challenging year for Karl and Today,' Hugh said.
'No doubt the constant publicity surrounding issues with his personal life have had an impact on Karl, his colleagues and on the show. We can't hide from that.
'And as a result we know there's a lot of hard work to be done to win back the audience.'

Sacked? News Corp claimed on Sunday that Karl Stefanovic would soon be losing his job as the host of Channel Nine's Today show
The controversy surrounding Karl comes after the Today show suffered some of its worst ratings ever in recent weeks.
And as viewers continue to tune out, News Corp made the shocking claim on Sunday that Karl could soon be losing his job.
It was reported that, despite Karl having a contract at the network believed to be worth almost $3million and not set to expire until the end of 2020, he is 'likely to be replaced in the New Year'.
'Top-level sources at Channel Nine's Willoughby studios say the embattled Today host is officially "gone",' it was claimed.

Turmoil: Karl's controversial personal life - including his divorce from wife of 21 years Cassandra Thorburn (left) and new relationship with shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough (right) is said to be one of the factors in Today's ratings demise
Karl's popularity first began to suffer following the breakdown of his 21-year marriage to former journalist Cassandra Thorburn in 2016.
It wasn't helped when he quickly moved on and became engaged to 34-year-old former model and shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough.
The couple are set to marry in San Jòse del Cabo, Mexico in December this year.

However, despite News Corp's sensational claims, executive producer Mark Calvert is standing by the controversial presenter.
He refuted the claims that Karl's career is on a knife edge, describing him as a 'bloody great broadcaster', while stating, 'we are the first to acknowledge our ratings are not as good right now as we would like.'
Karl's manager is also said to have denied the accusations to the newspaper that Karl would soon be losing his job on Today.

Meanwhile, Karl is yet to directly respond to the reports but the Gold Logie winner took to Instagram on Sunday to praise his fiancee as well as his family and friends.
'I'm incredibly grateful for the family and friends I have in this world. It's all that matters really. I'm so proud of them,' he wrote alongside an image of himself with Jasmine, brother Peter Stefanovic and friend Chris Waller.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Today and Karl's rep for comment.
