SALLY Metcalfe has been brutally beaten up in prison in Coronation Street leaving fans terrified for her.
The former Mayor of Weatherfield – who is played by actress Sally Dynevor in the ITV soap – was attacked by her evil cellmate Vanessa after refusing to hand over her phone credit.
When she refused Sally was left bleeding and terrified locked up.
Running to the phone, Sally used her emergency credit to call her daughter Sophie and beg her to help.
Through tears she told her: “I need you to get Paula to come back onto my case.
“They beat me up Sophie. I just can’t take it in here. She needs to get me out. I just want to come home.
“I should never have sacked Paula.”
But while Sophie was struggling to understand what her mum was saying through her tears, Sally blamed Imran for her ordeal.
She added: “Imran wanted me to do that because he knew I was going to mess it up because he threatened me, he said he was going to get his revenge and he did. Please help me.”
And as the phone cut out, Sophie rushed off to find Tim to try and help her mother.
Meanwhile, Imran had begun to have serious doubts about Duncan, Sally’s accuser’s story and confided in Adam that things just aren’t adding up.
“My client was enjoying himself a little bit too much when she got locked up yesterday,” he told Adam.

But will he be able to work out what Duncan has done and help free Sally before she’s attacked and left in an even worse state?
