"Many Photos" - Wladimir Klitschko ‘to make sensational boxing return on May 25 after agreeing £92m, three-fight deal’ two years after Anthony Joshua loss

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO will return on May 25 in Kiev after two years out of the ring, according to reports.

Klitschko walked away from the sport in April 2017 after losing to Anthony Joshua in 11 rounds in a modern day heavyweight classic.

However, the former unified heavyweight king was subject to rumours this year that sports streaming service DAZN had begun talks to tempt him back to the ring.

Ukrainian outlet SportArena claim Klitschko has agreed a three-fight deal with DAZN, worth £92million.

The report reveals the 43-year-old will return on May 25, at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev – with an opponent as yet unnamed.

It will be the first time Klitschko has fought in his home country since he was beaten by Ross Purrity in 1998.

The deal does not include any named fighters, though it is agreed the heavyweight will be involved in: “The most significant battles that will be most attractive in terms of relevance in the market.”

Prior reports had suggested Klitschko would return in a deal that includes rematches with Joshua, 29, and Tyson Fury.

Fury shocked the world in November 2015 outpointing Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Germany, before losing his titles out the ring and thus setting up the showdown between AJ and the Ukrainian.

Klitschko’s promoter Tom Loeffler recently expressed his desire to see his client face WBC champion Deontay Wilder, 33 – though the American was less interested.
