"Many Photos" - Two men are fighting for their lives after a double stabbing in Wembley

Two men were fighting for their lives last night after a double stabbing near Wembley Stadium.

The victims, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital after the attack on Empire Way, northwest London.

Police were called to Grand Felda House - a private student accommodation block - at 8.21pm.

The two men were stabbed a short distance from Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night

Police sealed off an area surrounding the Halls of Residence near Wembley Stadium 

Two men are currently fighting for their lives having been stabbed outside the accommodation block which houses students attending several London universities 

The rooms are home to students from Westminster University, City University and Middlesex University, among others.

It is not confirmed the victims are students or resident in the block.

It comes as a police manhunt for a knifeman continues in Edmonton, north London, only 14 miles away.

No arrests have been made.

The area has been cordoned off while a police investigation is under way.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: 'Officers are in Empire Way after two men in their 20s were stabbed this evening. Police were called at 20.21hrs.

'Both victims in hospital in life threatening condition.'
