A murder probe has been launched after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death in north London.

Officers and paramedics were called to the scene in Kentish Town at around 8.30pm, but were unable to save him.

There have been no arrests, the Met police have confirmed.  

Tonight's fatal knifing is the 32nd murder in London alone this year, with a devoted father-of-three being stabbed to death in Clapham on Thursday.

The force said: 'A murder investigation is underway following a stabbing in Kentish Town.

'Police were called at approximately 8.30pm on Monday, 1 April to reports of a stabbing in Grafton Road, junction with Vicars Road, NW5.

'Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, believed aged in his 20s, with stab injuries.

'He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are aware.

'Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.'
