SPICE Girls Mel B and Geri Horner spoke about loving “lesbians” in an unearthed Twitter exchange before Mel claimed they’d slept together.
Mel contacted Geri on the site in 2013 after she raved about a female character, known as Diamond, from the Spice Girls’ West End musical Viva Forever.
Geri had said about Diamond: “She’s so gentle, yet you can’t stop watching her.”
Mel simply replied “lesbian” and Geri responded: “I love lesbians” which prompted Scary Spice to quip: “Me too!!!”
At the time Mel, was married to Stephen Belafonte and Geri was yet to meet her future husband, Christian Horner.
Their chat has emerged after Geri hit out at Mel in an official statement through her representative.
She said on Sunday: “It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days.
“Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria. She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.
“Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.
“She wishes you a Happy Mother’s Day.”
Mel told Piers Morgan that the pair enjoyed a one-off romp on his show Life Stories last month.
However, a bombshell report has since claimed that Mel and Geri were in a YEAR-long relationship and shared the same bed during formation of Spice Girls.
A close pal told the Mail On Sunday: “It was in the very early days of the Spice Girls and their relationship lasted far longer than one night – it was at least 12 months.
“They deeply bought into the whole Girl Power phenomenon – they wanted to lead it. They felt what better way was there to do that than for girls to enjoy one another?”
Mel and Geri – who in 1994 were aged 18 and 21 during the formation of the band, initially named Touch – shared a “lust at first sight”, the friend claimed.
And the “absolutely inseparable” pair regularly slept in the same bed at a house in Maidenhead, Berks, where they had been moved by music bosses, it’s claimed.
While other bandmates – Mel C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham, then Victoria Adams – often visited family at the weekends, Mel B and Geri would stay at the house alone together.
The pal added: “They were together in every sense of the word.

“They were brought together through the circumstances of being in the band but their living arrangements in Maidenhead meant that they had lots of time alone.
“Both were very open-minded young women and they wanted to break boundaries.”
The latest revelations will further threaten the Spice Girls planned tour – which is already in disarray.
