THIS is the heartbreaking moment a teen weeps as she watches her birth mum abandon her as a baby.
Jessica Boatwright’s tragic plight made her famous worldwide when she left at a hospital in Sydney, Australia, just hours after she was born in 2005.
Now aged 14, brave Jessica has seen CCTV footage for the first time showing the chilling moment she was dumped by her birth mother – who has never been traced.
The tape shows baby Jessica wrapped in a towel being carried in by her biological mother to the A&E department of Sydney’s Liverpool Hospital.
Hours later, the woman was seen sneaking out in the middle of the night without her newborn.
A manhunt was launched to track down the mum – but after five months she was never found.
JESSICA’S MISSION
Jessica is now on a mission to be reunited with her birth mother – who she wants to have in her life despite being abandoned by her.
She wants to show her that she’s had a wonderful upbringing with her adoptive family.
Speaking to Australian TV programme A Current Affair, the overwhelmed schoolgirl said: “I’ve never seen this before, so it’s a bit emotional seeing it.
“I’ve only ever read the articles and seen pictures but have never actually watched the footage.”

And displaying maturity beyond her years, Jessica explained she does not hold a grudge against her biological mother for leaving her when she was just hours old.
She added: “I love you, even though I’ve never met you.
“I want her to know… not to feel terrible and not to feel guilty in any way.
“Be brave. I’m not going to judge you or anything, no matter what reason.
“It would be the fairy tale ending that I’ve always wanted.”
Jessica’s adoptive parents Brad and Anna Boatwright both support their daughter’s attempt to track down the woman.
Mr Boatwright wrote on Facebook last week: “Jessica has shown incredible bravery to share the most private aspects of her life in a hope to increase the profile of adoption in our community and in the hope her birth mother might see the program and, we hope, choose to become a part of Jessica’s life.”
“To say we are proud of Jessica’s courage would be a wild understatement.

“We hope you all have the chance to see her story and are as inspired by her as we are.”
And the couple are just as excited about the possibility of meeting the woman as their daughter is.
Mr Boatwright added: “We’d love to give her a big hug.”
