She was among five taken to hospital after the incident, but thankfully they are all alive and well.
Who is Sophia Floersch?
The Grunwald native was born December 1, 2000 – making her just 17-years-old.

Along the way, Floersch has broken numerous records in her early days of racing, becoming the first female and youngest driver across three competitions to participate.

When did she start racing?
Following her successful karting career, she joined HHC Motorsport in the Ginetta Junior Championship at just 14-years-old.
Floersch became the youngest to win a race in the competition when she took the top spot on the podium at Thurxton – taking two victories that weekend, the first rookie to do so.
But, despite a further two podiums, her season was cut short due to financial difficulties.
The following year, Floersch signed for Motopark in the ADAC Formula 4, scoring points in her first race, the first female driver to do so in any grand prix in the series.
She moved to BWT Mucke Motorsport for her second season, claims to two podiums.
After two years in Formula 4, Floersch made the step up to Formula 3, following a successful test with Van Amersfoort Racing.
But things have not gone to plan, making just one points finish so far, in a championship that is led by Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time Formula 1 winner Michael.
What happened in Macau F3 crash?
Sophia Floersch was driving near the tail end on the road circuit in Macau, when she crashed into Sho Tsuboi.

Floersch, Tsuboi, a marshall and two photographers were seriously injured in the crash, all sent to hospital – but are alive.
The German has suffered a fractured spine, and told her Twitter followers that she will be undergoing surgery.
The race was immediately red-flagged, the second time during the race after a pile-up earlier on.
But after over an the hour, it restarted.
