And this week, Australian Oscar winner Nicole Kidman revealed the very surprising thing she wanted to do before becoming an actress.  

Speaking to Allure, the 51-year-old admitted she was 'very drawn' to the idea, but can you guess what it is?

The blonde Big Little Lies star told the publication that she 'loved the idea of being a nun.'

'I'm spiritual in that I absolutely believe in God,' Nicole said.

The Roman Catholic added: 'Obviously, I did not choose to go that path, but I was very drawn to it.'

In the film, actor Lucas Hedges stars as 18-year-old Jared Eamons, who is enrolled in a gay conversion therapy program by his baptist parents.

Nicole plays Nancy Eamons, Jared's conflicted mother and the wife of Russell Crowe's Baptist character Marshall.

While Nancy loves her son she struggles to come to terms with his homosexuality.

Meanwhile, actor and director of the film, Joel Edgerton, recently told KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O about what it was like working with Nicole and Russell Crowe on the film. 

He admitted he was nervous about bossing around Gladiator star Russell, 54, on set. 

'I was a little trepidacious about directing two masters,' he admitted. 

'In all honesty, they're role models and heroes to me, as people who sort of forged a way to Hollywood.'

'And as a male actor, identifying with Russell, I think he's one of the greatest leading male actors of all time. The idea of telling Russell to do something different in a take.'
