NETFLIX is making it way easier to binge-watch your favourite shows with a new iPhone update.
The iOS version of the app now has new media controls that let you do what you want – but faster.
For instance, you can now “jump to the exact point you want”.
To do this, simply double tap the left or right side of the screen, and you’ll skip through (or rewind through) footage.
This will feel very familiar to anyone who uses the YouTube app on iPhone – the same controls are available there, too.
The app now has larger play and pause buttons too, and new labels to quickly toggle subtitles and flick through episodes.
But the biggest upgrade is the new ‘Next Episode’ button.
Anyone who uses Netflix on a television will already be used to this feature, but it’s a very welcome addition to the iPhone app.
Once your episode is nearing completion (usually prior to the credits), you’ll now be prompted to skip to the next episode.
It makes binge-watching series far more efficient, although it will probably only serve to strengthen your Netflix addiction.
Getting the new features is easy, too.
All you need to do is update your app on iPhone, iPad or Apple TV using the standard App Store.
The update is free, although you’ll need a Netflix subscription to actually take advantage of the service – as always.
