TWITTER has gone into meltdown this afternoon, over a £5 pleated “skirt” from Missguided.
The very short garment has caused an uproar on social media, after customers slammed the brand for selling what appears to be a belt.

The seven-inch skirt – which isn’t long enough to cover the model’s underwear – is black, pleated and described as “super short”.
And despite customers complaining on Twitter, it’s actually flown off the shelves, with several sizes already out of stock.
Most social media users, however, couldn’t believe their eyes, with one tweeting: “Missguided… hun… that’s not a skirt that’s a belt” while another said: “Missguided forgot the rest of the skirt”.
Another amused customer wrote: “Can this really be considered a skirt???
“Missguided?? u okay hun? X”
One joked: “Missguided taking the grandparents ‘that’s not a skirt that’s a belt’ insult literally I see”.

It’s not the first time the brand has released some rather bizarre styles.
Earlier this year they dropped an underboob jumpsuit as well as a pair of faux leather, lace-up trousers.
And in the Spring they starting selling a very peculiar clear strap bikini.
Nothing was quite as bonkers as Fashion Nova’s “Watch Me Work” jumpsuit, however, which customers compared to “a tied up ham”.
Then there was Prettylittlething’s high-vis jacket – and nope, it wasn’t a fancy dress piece.
