IT’S a jungle out there in the shops… and I couldn’t be happier.

But leopard print still knocks the spots off the rest — and is favoured by countless celebs.
On my last shopping trip, I couldn’t find one store that didn’t have a little leopard for me to purr over.
Now, I’m not usually one for a bold look. When it comes to fashion, I am the queen of minimal.
My wardrobe is an understated symphony of grey, navy and black — but leopard print is the glue that holds it all together.

I throw on a little leopard and immediately go from drab to fab. Leopard is the new black. There, I said it.
Feeling uninspired? Reach for a leopard-print coat and you will be strutting down the street in no time.
Asos has found roaring success with the pattern, with customers of the site snapping up 1.3million leopard-style products in a single year.
It is not a mere trend — it is a movement.

Jo Weldon, author of Fierce: The History Of Leopard Print, says the primal woman in each of us recognises the leopard as a strong, agile and sexy animal. It’s in our DNA.
Leopard print has had its critics, but get images of Corrie’s Bet Lynch out of your head right now. Screen legends like Bette Davis and Audrey Hepburn have given it a whirl. Even the Queen has.
And don’t forget Mel B. I mean, hello. Girl power. Enough said.
Leopard 2018 is considered chic. If Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Victoria Beckham have decreed it a must-have, who are we to argue? That is a pack worth following.

Designer Christian Dior said: “To wear leopard print, you must have a kind of femininity which is a little bit sophisticated.”
I couldn’t agree more. So, ladies, unleash your wild side and join the feline revolution that packs a punch — and looks pretty great, too.
These are some of the famous faces leading the way.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
