East Jutland Police said they have a large presence in the area as the incident is investigated.

In an update on Twitter, the force said the Independent Police Appeals Authority is now investigating the officer-involved shooting.

In a statement, the police prosecutor's office said it would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have information on the case.
