Ant McPartlin is the process of sorting the financial arrangements and final details surrounding his divorce from estranged wife Lisa Armstrong.

Divorce proceedings to end their 11-year marriage began at a 30-second hearing in October after McPartlin, 43, admitted adultery with Anne-Marie, his former personal assistant.

Court documents revealed that he had 'committed adultery' and that his former wife found it 'intolerable to live with' the TV star.

Under divorce laws, McPartlin technically had to admit adultery because he was still married when the relationship began. 

Professional make-up artist Lisa is expected to receive a generous settlement from the presenter - worth an estimated £62million - with financial details surrounding the divorce still being resolved.

The eventual finalization of their divorce will pave the way for McPartlin to marry Anne-Marie, should they wish to exchange vows.

The news comes some 10-months after the presenter - currently taking a hiatus from all TV commitments following a second spell in residential rehabilitation - confirmed he and Lisa had separated.

His spokesman confirmed to MailOnline: 'In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

'Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.'

Speaking shortly after the separation a source close to Ant told The Sun: 'This was a tough decision for Ant but he has to do the right thing for his health. The marriage has effectively been struggling for eight months. He's given it a good go.

'Ant's big concern in the whole thing is Lisa and making it as easy as possible for her.'
