New photo Rapper 360 has cut ties with enablers after codeine overdose in 2015

He has turned his life around in the three-and-a-half years since he was found convulsing on the floor from a codeine overdose while on tour in 2015.

And Australia rapper 360 has revealed that his recovery from addiction involved cutting ties with hard-partying friends, keeping fit and going to therapy.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, the 32-year-old said that surrounding himself with the wrong crowd allowed drugs to take over his life.

The musician, whose real name is Matthew Colwell, claimed he was 'blinded by the partying' during his days of addiction.

'At those stages in my peak of doing the bad s**t, it was s**t c**ts around,' he said, referring to his former circle of friends.

'People around me that were full downers and all about negative s**t and nothing positive whatever. You start drifting away from people because they're not living the same lifestyle. It was tough.'

'If you do want to make that shift in your life and start turning it around, you've got to cut ties with those negative influences - you cant have anyone involved,' he added.

'That pretty much cut my social circle into basically no-one. For a while I was like, "I've got no mates that don't party".'
