More than 20 terrorists linked to hate preacher Anjem Choudary are walking Britain’s streets, with more to be released before the end of the year.
At least 23 of Choudary’s associates, some of whom were members of his terror group al-Muhajiroun, would have been released by now, while five more will become eligible for parole over the next year.
Choudary himself will be freed next month having served half of a five-and-a-half-year term for encouraging his followers to join IS.
He is expected to be tightly controlled with more than 20 licence conditions and similar restrictions are likely to be placed on his cronies, according to The Sunday Telegraph.
The figures come from a dossier of prisoners jailed in the country for terror offences compiled by former senior research fellow at the Henry Jackson Society Hannah Stuart.
According to her report one of those who could soon be out is Shah Rahman who was jailed for 12 years in 2012 for plotting to blow up London’s Stock Exchange.

Choudary described Rahman as one of his “students” during his trial and counted him as a member of al-Muhajiroun.
By November Kazi Islam could also be back on the streets after serving three-and-a-half-years of an eight-year stint imposed after he tried to convince a man with learning difficulties to buy the components of a pipe bomb.
Last week prisons minister Rory Stewart said: “We will be watching Choudary very carefully.”
The Ministry of Justice refused to comment.
