A SINGLE mum claims her local council DESTROYED her baby daughter’s £600 pram after they allegedly flagged it up as a fire risk.
Georgia Mosley, 21, from Derby, said she was stuck at home with kids Preston, two and Maisey, six months after the pushchair was removed from a communal area in her block of flats.

Georgia lives in an upstairs two-bedroom flat and noticed her Silver Cross Wayfarer pram missing when she took Preston to nursery.
Derby City Council confirmed they were investigating the matter but said they operated a ‘clear communal area’ policy.
The buggy had been stowed away in an electrical meter room on the ground floor.
Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, Miss Mosley said: “When I found out it was gone, I just cried. I have no other way to take my Maisey out.

“I went downstairs to look at the CCTV at the shop and saw someone from the council take it away. I was just in tears. I can’t do anything without that pram.
“I can’t take the pram up and down the stairs with my kids. I’ve been trying to get some sort of storage for ages now.
“I know a lot of people will say ‘just get another one’ but I can’t afford it and it took me such a long time to save up for it.”
The pram was bought in August while Georgia was 16 weeks pregnant with Maisey. She says she saved up for months in order to buy it.

Miss Mosley was storing her pram in a downstairs electrical metre room as she is unable to take the pram and her children upstairs to her apartment.
Georgia contacted Derby City Council on Monday and claims she was told her pram was taken away as it posed a “fire risk”.
The full-time mum says she was also told by the council that her pram has since been destroyed and there was no chance of getting it back.
The young mum says she has had to keep her kids at home inside of taking them to the nursery for the entire week because of her situation.

Georgia has now complained to the city council but says she has “no idea” whether or not she is going to get a replacement.
She has been trying to fight for somewhere to store her pram since she moved into the flat for almost three years.
The 21-year-old said she has been struggling to move into a bigger house for nearly a year due to the lack of storage space and size of her apartment.
She has even written to Labour MP Chris Williamson to try to sort out the issue.
