MANCHESTER UNITED have been put on red alert after Juventus star Alex Sandro revealed the club are yet to offer him a new deal.

The Old Trafford side tracked the Brazilian defender all through the summer.

Some reports claimed a deal between the two had been struck and that he would move for around £53million.

However it never materialised and the 27-year-old ex-Porto man remained in Italy.

Talks could reopen, however, after Sandro revealed Juve bosses are not exactly moving quickly to tie him down.

Sandro says he loves being at the Old Lady – who beat Valencia in the Champions League despite going down to ten men following Cristiano Ronaldo’s red card.

The Brazilian was linked with the Old Trafford side all throughout the summer

But he admitted the club have not pushed for him to put pen to paper on an extension to his current deal.

He told Sky Sport Italia: “I never thought about leaving Juventus, but I have not yet received renewal proposals.

“I still have two years in my contract and I am only focused on the present.

“Then we will see what happens.”

Sandro also opened up on what it is like having to supply new £99million team-mate Ronaldo.

He added: “Ronaldo has brought great quality.

“I am learning to understand his movements and how he likes to receive the ball, and I think that slowly I can give him a lot of assists.

“After the sending off in Valencia he is very motivated, and I cannot wait to see him on the pitch.”
