Imogen Anthony has shared an update regarding the health of her boyfriend, Kyle Sandilands, one day after announcing he was 'extremely sick'.

On Saturday, the 27-year-old provided a less-concerning outlook, insisting the KIIS FM star 'just needed to get well and on top of it before forcing himself back to work.'

The 47-year-old later surfaced in a video from his Southern Highlands farm, sounding rather hoarse and barely audible.

Prior to Imogen's comments, Kyle had taken three days off from his breakfast radio show with Jackie O Henderson, citing gastro.

He was seen for the first time in nearly a week on Saturday, his silhouette clearly visible as a shadow outside an animal enclosure on their farm.

The pair were heard briefly discussing the logistics of feeding their pet camel. Imogen's clear, booming voice starkly contrasted Kyle's croaky whisper. 

The KIIS star famously does not use social media and prefers not to be photographed, meaning it's possible he was simply speaking differently to mask his voice.

In a text-based post, Imogen said 'Kyle is alive, he just needed to get well and on top of it before forcing himself back to work. He will be back chirpy and bright Monday morning.' 

 'Responding to as many comments as I can with the time I have,' she informed followers, who had expressed their concern in the wake of Friday's revelation.

'So if I haven't responded to you yet, isn't intentional and I've read every last one and will get around to it all this weekend now I'm caring for a sick chicken lol.'

The update has helped eased concerns that were raised by fans over Kyle's absence from KIIS FM for five of the last ten days and Imogen's post on Friday.

The fashion designer's post covered her own struggles and revealed her family were experiencing financial woes.

 'S**t's f**ked for me sometimes... I'm not okay,' Imogen wrote.
