THERE’S no let up on Sunday as the top racing continues at the Curragh.
We’ve got you covered with a race-by-race preview, to help find those all important winners.
Race 1 – 2.00pm Irish Stallion Farms EBF “Bold Lad” Sprint Handicap
A huge field in the opener and it’s worth picking a couple out at big prices here.
ICE AGE is worth chancing after signs of a comeback at Ripon last time. He won this last year and looks a huge price.
I also like Medicine Jack for the home side. His Group form reads well in here and he looks on a nice weight.
Further up the market the one I like is David O’Meara’s Summerghand. The handicapper has taken no chances but he’s in flying form.
VERDICT – 1. Ice Age 2. Medicine Jack 3. Summerghand

Race 2 – 2.35pm Moyglare ”Jewels” Blandford Stakes (Group 2)
I can’t oppose the favourite here. EZIYRA looks solid as a rock after her third at York.
She’s had a few niggly problems but is talented when on song and connections look to be reaping the reward for their patience now.
Who’s Steph still looks unexposed and can make a dent here after a decent run behind Alpha Centauri last time. This new trip should suit.
It might also pay to trust the ever consistent Panstarr as an each way shot.
VERDICT – 1. Eziyra 2. Who’s Steph 3. Panstarr
Race 3 – 3.05pm Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes (Group 1)
It’s been well established that this is a below par Group 1 but that makes no difference to punters.
TAKE COVER is expected to bow out after this and what a way it would be to go out.
Sentiment aside he’s in the form of his life and can take this if getting out the stalls in his usual fashion.
Hit The Bid has something about him and it’s hard to ignore the favourite Havana Grey; although he’s too short in my book.
VERDICT – 1. Take Cover 2. Hit The Bid 3. Havana Grey
Race 4 – 3.40pm Moyglare Stud Stakes (Group 1)
Send the bookies running with SKITTER SCATTER.
She won the Debutante Stakes at a canter and the form of her Group 3 win couldn’t have worked out much better. There’s more to come.
Main Edition can’t be ignored for the Johnston’s. She looks a bit under the radar in this, despite her price.
At a bigger price Beyond Reason is very interesting after her Group win in France.
VERDICT – 1. Skitter Scatter 2. Main Edition 3. Beyond Reason
Race 5 – 4.15pm Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes (Group 1)
A cracking race here, even if it looks a bit of a two horse race.
It’s probably a race to watch, and a bit of a coin toss between the two at the top of the betting, but I’ll get off the fence and side with QUORTO.
He could be something special and it’s interesting connections take him across to this.
Anthony Van Dyck will not be far away for the home team.
At a bigger price Land Force could bounce back to form.
VERDICT – 1. Quorto 2. Anthony Van Dyck 3. Land Force

Race 6 – 4.50pm Comer Group International Irish St. Leger (Group 1)
I didn’t think Joseph O’Brien would run Latrobe here, but I have to stick with my guns and stay with FLAG OF HONOUR for O’Brien Snr.
I think Latrobe has been slightly flattered on his better runs and it’s telling they stayed away from Doncaster after a strong field was declared.
Flag Of Honour is progressive and there’s no doubts over stamina.
Weekender is interesting after skipping Kempton, but is no price with bookies only paying two places.
VERDICT – 1. Flag Of Honour 2. Latrobe 3. Weekender
Race 7 – 5.25pm Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes
Where do you start here? A race full of unexposed and potentially talented youngsters. I think I’ll have a poke with a couple of big priced runners.
ANDRE AMAR gets vote number one. He’s thoroughly unexposed but has shown plenty in three outings in decent company.
Vote two goes to Hot Team for Hugo Palmer and Ryan Moore. This is a big step up, but he’s consistent and has been set for this a long way out.
World Order could have a sniff at massive odds.
VERDICT – 1. Andre Amar 2. Hot Team 3. World Order
Race 8 – 6.00pm Irish Stallion Farms EBF “Northfields” Handicap
Another puzzle to end the weekend but I really like DOWNDRAFT in this.
Plenty was expected of this colt early in the summer, but things haven’t quite gone A1.
He’s back at his perfect trip in my book and looks a bet here.
Lethal Steps is interesting on his first outing for trainer Gordon Elliot.
Still Standing looks completely unexposed and could go in again for Jessica Harrington.
VERDICT – 1. Downdraft 2. Lethal Steps 3. Still Standing

Hayden Panettiere
Size: 8
Age: 18
Height: 5ft 1in
Weight: 8st
To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
kim cattrall
Size: 10-12
Age: 52
Height: 5ft 8in
Weight: 9st 4lb
SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
