But on Tuesday Block 'battler' couple Jess Hogan and Norm Eva appeared to be in high spirits as they left Fox FM radio station with a life-size cardboard cutout of co-host Fifi Box.
Jess looked relaxed in a pink hippie-style smock frock, while her fiancé Norm favoured a tradie-inspired outfit consisting of a grey hoodie top and matching grey shorts, despite the cool weather.

The couple had just appeared on Fox FM's Fifi, Fev and Byron morning radio show, which is hosted by Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke.
Jess had recently revealed that Box is Norm's 'hall pass' - an admission which led to the couple actually appearing on the radio show in person on Tuesday.
A bashful Norm got to present Box with a can of Chum for her new pet dog as a romantic meeting gift.

But while Norm may not have scored a date with 41-year-old Box - who is mum to baby girl Beatrix Belle Box - he didn't leave the show empty handed.

Jess confronted Courtney Brown and husband Hans after they started backlash surrounding the proposed fixture.
During the confrontation, Jess broke down in tears as Courtney and Hans revealed they wanted to block the pool simply to stop her beating them in the competition.
Introducing the segment, Hans said to camera: 'We didn't want to hurt Jess and Norm, but at the same time, yeah, we didn't want the pool in.'
