The photos have been gloriously restored in vibrant colour by Brighton-based graphic designer Nathan Howland.

As well as British, German and American aircraft, the collection also features planes from other nations including the Italian Fiat G.50.

The Battle of Britain Day is the name given to 15 September 1940 when the German Luftwaffe undertook an all-out attack on London.

Over 1,500 aircraft took part in air battles that lasted from dawn til dusk.

Despite being heavily outnumbered by the Germans, Britain and its allies emerged victorious.

The anniversary is commemorated in Britain on September 15th and in Canada on the third Sunday of September.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
