New photo Prince William reveals Kate is ‘immensely jealous’ of his trip to Africa… because he’s finally getting a break from the kids

PRINCE William has joked Kate is “immensely jealous” of his trip to Africa because it gives him a brief break from the kids.

The Duke of Cambridge said he was particularly excited about a “few good uninterrupted nights of sleep”.

The 36-year-old royal is on the “private working trip” as president of the United for Wildlife group and patron of Tusk, according of Kensington Palace.

Addressing guests in Windhoek on Tuesday, he said he was delighted to be visiting Namibia for the first time.

But William went on to say: “I am only sorry that my wife Catherine is not able to join me.”

The Duchess of Cambridge, also 36, is at home looking after their kids George, five, Charlotte, three, and five-month-old Louis.

The Prince started his African tour in Namibia on Monday but is now in Tanzania to find out more about anti-poaching measures.

Later this week he will visit Kenya, where he proposed to Kate, before returning to the UK on Sunday.

William has been a vocal campaigner against the killing of elephants, rhinos, pangolins and other species.

As part of the trip he went to see the work of The Kunene People’s Park Initiative in Namibia, a conservation body supported by Tusk.

The Duke said he was in the country on a two-day visit “to listen and learn” about the work being done to protect endangered species.

“The latest figures show that a rhino is killed every seven hours,” he said.

“The illegal wildlife trade is an international problem that requires determined political leadership.

“It is also why Namibia’s voice on these difficult subjects at the upcoming conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade in London in October is so important.”

In the past the Duke also noted that poaching has a human toll when rangers are killed, communities lose the benefits of wildlife tourism and criminal networks flourish.

“I was staggered by the beauty and sheer remoteness of this incredible landscape.

“And I was humbled by the dedication of the rangers who protect the unique population of desert rhino from poachers.”

The Duke revealed he would be visiting Africa earlier this month, during his first speech as patron of the Royal African Society and will also visit Tanzania and Kenya, as part of his trip.

The UK government will host the 2018 conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade next month.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
