FAR-LEFT trolls want Corrie star Maureen Lipman SACKED – because she doesn’t like Jeremy Corbyn.
The veteran actress is a fierce critic of the Labour boss over his failure to clamp down on anti-Semitism.
The backlash against her comes as a new poll suggests the party could lose nearly 1million votes because of the ongoing scandal.
And it’s claimed that 40 per cent of British Jews have considered fleeing the country over fears of growing anti-Semitism.
Ms Lipman, 72, was once a passionate Labour supporter but has turned against the party in recent years and has repeatedly spoken out against Mr Corbyn.
Earlier this year she addressed a rally where she called the Labour leader an anti-Semite in a furious blast.
This month she returned to ITV’s Coronation Street, where she first appeared in 2002 – Ms Lipman is playing battleaxe gran Evelyn Plummer.
But some Corbyn-backing viewers want her off the telly because of her political views, the Mail on Sunday reported.
One said: “How very timely that vile Corbyn-hater Maureen Lipman gets a role on a major working class TV show. Propaganda in action. Boycott her.”
Corbyn supporter Lynn Braben added: “Maureen Lipman shouldn’t be allowed to be in Corrie.
“The right to be political isn’t the issue; but she is alienating viewers who support Mr Corbyn by basically calling them Holocaust supporters.”
And Daphne Miles said: “She used to be one of my favourite actors, until she started being routinely abusive about Corbyn.”
Polling by YouGov which was released today suggests Labour could miss out on 900,000 votes in the wake of the party’s anti-Semitism crisis.
That is larger than the margin of victory which the Tories secured in last year’s General Election.
Euan Philipps of Labour Against Anti-Semitism told the Sunday Times: “This poll delivers a damning judgment on a Labour leader who has lost the moral authority to lead.

“Jeremy Corbyn’s foolish and misguided decision to spend an entire summer baiting the British Jewish community appears to have backfired drastically, and turned thousands of vital swing voters away from the Labour party.”
A separate poll, carried out by the Campaign Against Antisemitism, shows 40 per cent of British Jews have considered emigrating – up from 31 per cent in just a year.
And 90 per cent of those asked said they believe Labour is harbouring anti-Semites.
