Former Arsenal winger Freddie Ljungberg took charge of the Gunners' Under-21s in June and is working closely with Unai Emery.
With both men joining in the summer they are finding their feet at the Emirates and the Swede is grateful for the help and time Emery has afforded him.
'We speak every week,' said Ljungberg, when describing their working relationship. 'We talk about players, about what we're thinking. He's very open, which helps me a lot.

The Arsenal manager is open and honest with a similar philosophy to Ljungberg
'Of course I have my own way of how I want to play and he never tells me how to do that. But we're quite similar regardless. I just want to prepare them so they're ready when they go up to his training,' he added.
With plenty of talent available to him, Ljungberg knows it's his job to prepare the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock for a call-up.
One of the areas the 41-year-old knows has to be on point is the conditioning of his players as Emery keeps tabs on all of them.
'He worked them really, really hard this summer and they're very fit. My boys need to be ready for that.
Eddie Nketiah is one of the starlets being nurtured for more first team action by Ljungberg
'He's an open manager and a nice, respectful man. He always asks how they're doing. We had a few staff from Arsenal here [at the Coventry game] to look at them, it feels great for me that there's interest from above,' he added.
Ljungberg led Arsenal's Under-21s to a 3-1 victory over Coventry on Wednesday, an impressive result against the League One unit.
He will be looking to develop under the tutelage of Emery having left as coach of the Under-16s during the 2016-17 season before joining Wolfsburg as an assistant and returning to Arsenal where he became a fan favourite during his eight year stint at the club.
The former winger is enjoying life in the dug out and learning his trade at the Emirates
