HUGHIE FURY believes boxing fans are “in for a treat” when Anthony Joshua fights Alexander Povetkin this weekend.
And it’s a treat Fury will be taking a particular interest in – as he could face the winner provided he comes through his IBF eliminator against Kubrat Pulev on October 27.

AJ will put his WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO titles on the lines against 39-year-old Povetkin in front of what is expected to be a sell-out Wembley Stadium.
The defending champ is the overwhelming favourite to preserve his unbeaten record, but Fury is not discounting Povetkin to pose a serious threat in what he describes as a “world class match-up”.
The Russian has 34 wins, 24 by way of knockout with just one blemish on his record – a points loss to heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko back in 2013.
Speaking exclusively to SunSport, Fury, who is the cousin of the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson, said: “I respect both these fighters.

“They’ve got a vast amount of experience in both the amateur and professional ranks.
“It’s a world class match up and the fans are in for a treat.”
Fury has a huge task ahead himself when he travels out to Pulev’s backyard of Bulgaria in a bid to become mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight strap.
That, of course, is on the line when AJ clashes with Povetkin this weekend.

So who does Fury expect to be facing should he hand Pulev only his second career defeat next month?
“I reckon Joshua will win the fight”, added the 24-year-old.
“It’s hard to see past Joshua because Povetkin doesn’t do well against tall fighters. I just think AJ will have too much.
“I’m going with Joshua in the late to mid rounds. If I were a betting man, I’d say somewhere between rounds five and ten.”
Fire & Fury: Pulev vs Fury will be broadcast live in the UK on Channel 5 on Saturday, October 27.
