NO matter how much you meticulously plan your wedding down to the last canape, there are some things that are simply out of your control.
But the one thing most brides don’t prepare for? One of their wedding guests s***ting themselves halfway through the ceremony.
Unfortunately for one bride, this nightmare became a reality as her new brother-in-law suffered an embarrassing mishap during her dream beach wedding.
Sharing the details of the unfortunate incident on Reddit, the mortified lad revealed how he started to “feel rather unwell” and get painful stomach cramps before.
He confessed: “This is when I realised I needed to s**t. Not a big deal, I can hold a s**t in.”
But despite his best efforts, the man became so uncomfortable that both his girlfriend and dad urged him to use the beach’s public toilets as there was still a few minutes to go until the wedding started.
He wrote: “I didn’t want to go unto one of those public toilets as they’re normally filthy, I would just wait until the ceremony ended, then drive back to my place which was about a 5 minute drive and then head to the reception hall.”
In hindsight, the man added: “It was obvious I was in genuine pain and discomfort and they kept telling me to use the public one, I really f**king wish I had.”
Much to his horror, 10 seconds into the ceremony the man said he “had a huge far he needed to let out.”
“You know when you try to let out a lot of gad out gradually and silently?” the man wrote. “This worked for a second and then I convulsed from my stomach pain and violently s**t myself.”
Everyone within a couple metres heard it, and smelt it, and after a few seconds everyone knew what had just happened…

Unsurprisingly, other guests around the poor lad quickly noticed the smell and the reception had to be postponed until the lad, erm, cleaned himself up.

“I was gagging and sprinting towards the toilet trying not to vomit from the thought of what I had just done.”
After rinsing himself down in the public toilet, the man’s girlfriend drove him home to shower and change.
Thankfully, his brother refused to restart the wedding without him there – but the bloke’s new sister-in-law was not quite so understanding… and we can’t say we blame her somehow.
Although all the guests “pretended it didn’t happen” during the ceremony, the man said he was met with “dirty looks” from the bride and her parents at the reception afterwards.
He added: “Later that night, I receieved a bunch of angry texts from his wife and her parents and my own father.
“Telling me I had completely ruined the wedding and that I was disgusting and should have gone beforehand.
“My brother’s wife is constantly upset that her wedding will forever be remembered as ‘that wedding where my brother-in-law s**t his f**king pants’. She hates me for.”
Asking other users whether he was in the wrong, the man concluded: “I have not s**t my pants before, this is not a common thing for me so no, I did not expect that stomach cramps meant I was going to s**t myself. I should’ve gone to the toilet beforehand but I didn’t want to hold up the ceremony…”
The man’s embarrassing dilemma sparked fierce debate in the comments – with 220 users battling it out between themselves over what he should have done differently.
Taking the bride’s side, one replied: “He should have either used the public restroom or excused himself and went home to use the bathroom if he knew he was in pain. The bride’s anger is justified.
“I’d be so mad if this occurred during my wedding because weddings are expensive and should be about the couple. Guests are going to remember your incident more than any moment of the wedding.”
Similarly, another wrote: “If you knew you were in THAT much pain you should’ve sucked it up and just used the public toilet.
“It would be one thing if it was out of nowhere but you knew you had to go bad and were even told to and that they would wait for you. Don’t chance it next time.”
However others were more sympathetic towards the bloke – and argued he didn’t know he was going to have an accident.
“It probably would have been a good idea to go before,” a third replied. “But there’s no way you would have expected to literally s**t yourself. Good luck living that down.”
“I completely understand why they’d be mad,” another wrote. “But obviously you didn’t want this to happen so I won’t brand you a a***** here, even though your bad choices effectively compounded the problem.”
