CHELSEA fans have begged David Luiz to leave the club after his “awful” defending during 5-3 win at Salzburg
The inconsistent Brazilian star, 32, had another horror show as the Blues leaked three goals in their pre-season run-out.
As Jose Mourinho has thrown his backing to Kurt Zouma, Blues supporters have taken the opportunity to lash out at Luiz.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “I don’t care how many through passes or no-look scorpions he completes, David Luiz is the worst defender at Chelsea Football Club. Period.”
Another said: “Love the way people slag off Zouma but neglect the s***- show Luiz has dished out year after year.”
A third added: “Further proof David Luiz has no business being on this team anymore!!!”
Meanwhile, Mourinho has thrown his support behind Zouma – as well as forward Tammy Abraham.
The former Chelsea boss said: “I think every manager in the world loves to play kids from the academy.
“I think Chelsea is a very special club in relation to that. I just give an example: Chelsea needs a centre-back – Kurt Zouma.
“You don’t need to buy, you don’t need to spend. Zouma.
