I’M A CELEB star Harry Redknapp’s son is preparing for court facing a serious drugs charge while his football manager dad soaks up the sun on reality TV.
Mark Redknapp, 48, the older brother of ex-Liverpool and England player Jamie, is accused of driving while 15 times over the drug-drive limit.
The Sun Online revealed earlier this year that he had been arrested on April 2 after his Mercedes was stopped by police.
Redknapp denies driving while over the legal limit in Poole.
He is accused of getting behind the wheel of a Mercedes C63 saloon car in the upmarket Canford Cliffs area of Poole.
The ex-football manager’s son allegedly had a blood level of 749 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine – while the legal limit is 50.
Meanwhile, as Mark readies for his next appearance in court over the charge in February, his dad Harry has been charming the nation on the ITV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here which began last Sunday.
Speaking about his wife Sandra, who he’s been married to for 51 years, Harry told fellow contestants: “I ring her about 10 times a day. She’s my life, I’m a bit scared.
“When you get older… I do love her too much and if anything happened it would kill me. We just get on so well, I only want to be with her.
“I can never wait to see her. Jamie and Mark, my sons, always say to me ‘dad you won the lottery’.”
Fans of the show are loving his family tales – including how he and his Sky Sports pundit son Jamie had dinner with Princess Beatrice but had no idea who she was.
Harry, 71, told how he and Jamie met the Queen’s granddaughter, 30, while he was manager at QPR.
He told his campmates: “I sit down facing this young girl. We start chatting away and get onto horse racing. I said, ‘My nan was the street bookmaker’.
“She said, ‘My grandmother loves racing’. I said, ‘Really?’ She said, ‘Yeah, last year she won the Gold Cup at Ascot’.
“I thought, ‘She must have a few quid, her grandmother!’ “She told me the horse. I thought, ‘The Queen owned that horse’. Then it comes to me who it is.”
I’m A Celeb viewers have also been in fits of laughter at Harry’s rants regarding breakfast in the jungle, as he moaned upon arrival that he thought it would be “a lot more luxurious”.
He looked horrified when he heard emu was on the menu for dinner, saying he did not think he could eat it, particularly as he had been a fan of Rod Hull and Emu.

While Harry enjoys his time on I’m A Celeb, he may also be in line for a new job once he gets out of the jungle.
Bookmaker Coral is quoting 20-1 for Redknapp being named as the next Ireland manager and the firm has already seen support for the I’m A Celebrity Contestant.
However Mick McCarthy is odds-on at 8-13 to get the role, while Stephen Kenny is 3-1.
“Harry Redknapp may well be impressing in the jungle at the moment, however, we have seen strong early support for him to take over from Martin O’Neill as the next Ireland manager,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Mick McCarthy is the odds-on favourite in the early betting as it would be no surprise if the FAI turned back to their former manager for a second stint,” added Hill.

“I thought there was a caravan round the back here where they were doing bacon sandwiches,” he said.
“There will be a, ‘OK, OK time out, let’s all go round and have coffees, bacon sandwich, sausage sandwich, alright back on set’ – but no that ain’t happening is it?”
Viewers thought Redknapp’s comments were hilarious.
“Oi my man Harry Redknapp really thought there was a caravan that did bacon butties I’m howling,” said one person on Twitter.
Harry will be out of the jungle in time for his son Mark’s next court date in February next year.
Mark’s solicitor Stuart Sampson said at the June hearing: “The alleged analysis of Mr Redknapp’s blood showed an extraordinarily high level of cocaine and there are a number of issues relating to the stop and the analysis.

“It may well be that an expert will have to be called. At the present we plan to have Mr Redknapp and our expert give evidence.”
Mark Redknapp, a former company director, lives with partner Lucy Bolster and his children in the Muscliffe area of Bournemouth.
As a teenager, he was on the books of AFC Bournemouth but suffered a serious ankle injury at the age of 18 which ended his chances of making it as a professional footballer.
He went on to play for various non-league clubs.
