THE mum of a woman whose boyfriend cheated on her on Blackpool beach before being shamed on Twitter has revealed her daughter is “distraught.”
On Sunday, a social media post went viral appealing to the girlfriend of “Ben to Chesterfield” warning her that he had a one night stand on the sands of the seaside resort.
The tweet read: “If your boyfriend is called Ben from Chesterfield and he was in Blackpool last night, he sh****d my mate on the beach and only told her this morning he had a girlfriend.”
“Ben” was identified as Ben Green by his girlfriend Kayleigh Bettney, who posted: “Well the Ben that you all heard about on Facebook was my Ben Banjo Green and wow what a d*** he is.”
Kayleigh’s mum Claire has told The Sun Online that her daughter is “distraught” insisting that she was still dating the love cheat when he romped on the beach on Saturday.
Speaking at her home in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, she said: “He did move out about two weeks ago but they were still together.
“It’s not nice. Kayleigh is still distraught about what has gone on – anyone would be in her position.”
But one of Ben’s friends stuck up for him insisting he was not a “love rat.”
She said: “It’s all nonsense. They have had an up and down relationship. He’s done nothing wrong.”
The woman, who did not want to be named, added: “He sent the text that he did because he still wanted to get back with Kayleigh and felt bad about what had happened but calling him a love rat is not right.”
Kayleigh’s mum posted a number of text message screenshots revealing how the viral cheating confrontation went down.
She later uploaded a conversation between the two “cheats” although it is not known how she got hold of them.
Cheater Ben had apparently been on holiday in Blackpool and got frisky with a girl in the middle of the night on the sands.
He then text the girl the next day to say he was sorry he couldn’t see her again and was deleting her number – so his girlfriend didn’t see.
Twitter user @_Ivanna posted screenshots of her conversation where her friend first told of her seaside antics.
In the screenshots, the pal said: “Had sex on beach last night and the guy literally wants to meet me this morning….kill me now pls.”
One mate says: “Weren’t you cold?” and she adds: “F***ing freezing to death.”

A text conversation allegedly between Ben and a friend about the viral posts were then revealed and show him laughing about how widespread it had become online.
The communication ends with him writing: “I’m f***ed! Well I’m definitely single now haha.”
Cheeky Ben apparently told the girl after their tryst: “Hope you got home okay, was nice to meet you!
“Shame I’m probably never going to see you again. I’m going to have to delete your number for obvious reasons.”
