JUNGLE favourite Emily Atack was forced to call the police before her stint on I’m A Celeb – after receiving a chilling death threat on Twitter.
The 28-year-old, who played sexy Charlotte in The Inbetweeners, was targeted by an illiterate troll who told her: “Emily its time 4 u to leave this world.”
The vile man, who called himself Jeff Jones, added: “Ur last hours wnt be pleasant, it will acheive the objective.”
Another message read: “U sound happy!? im glad!!! visit yr family now…tell them goodbye! it’ll be yr last chance to do so!!!!!!”
Terrified Emily, who was born in Luton, contacted Bedfordshire Police – and urged her followers to do the same – after being sent the malicious tweets in 2012.
Using the troll’s Twitter handle, she posted: “Everyone report @jeffjon56599388 never read/seen anything so vicious towards me in my whole life.”
Fans reacted in horror, with one saying: “Shocking stuff. Its disturbing. He needs finding ASAP. Clearly obsessed with you, hopefully just a loner and nothing more.”
Another wrote: “Sick b*****d! Needs to be locked away!!”
Emily later tweeted her abuser saying, “Prison for you”.
She then told her supportive fans, “Hi all, thanks for your nice tweets! Police are on the case. X”
A Bedfordshire Police spokesperson said: “I can confirm that we received a complaint reporting malicious communications and our investigations are ongoing.”
I’m A Celeb viewers have been left in no doubt about Emily’s bravery after taking on the first Bushtucker Trial of the series – a challenge called Viper Pit.
It saw the star make her way along a passage, plunging her arms into holes containing angry serpents – one of which bit her.
Holly Willoughby shrieked as the snakes lashed out at Emily, but she did an incredible job, winning nine out of ten stars and a place in Croc Creek.
