New photo Eden Hazard names Ballon d’Or nominees who deserve award more than him

EDEN HAZARD claims he has not been good enough to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

Chelsea star Hazard has been shortlisted for the title of world footballer of the year after a scintillating 2018.

The forward has shone at club level for Chelsea while starring at the World Cup where he led Belgium to the semi-finals.

But despite many hailing him up there among the best on the planet, the 27-year-old believes he doesn’t deserve the award.

Instead, he claims there are at least two others who have been better than him and who should scoop the top prize next month.

Hazard told RTFB:  “Even though I had a very good year, I have to keep my feet on the ground.

“I do not deserve the Ballon d’Or. I think there are players who have been better than me.

“Winning the Ballon d’Or is not a goal for me. If I win it one day, great. If I do not, it won’t be a problem.

“I would have said Luka Modric, but he has played a little less well since August and September.

“So, if we take into account the beginning of the season, I would say Kylian Mbappe.”

Hazard is expected to be at the gala evening in Paris on December 3 when the winner is announced.

Modric and Mbappe are the clear favourites to scoop the prize, ahead of Real Madrid’s World Cup winning defender Raphael Varane and Liverpool star Mo Salah.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
