A beauty contest winner who has been forced to give up her title because she once posed topless for lads’ mags has accused organisers of ‘body shaming’.

Natalie Paweleck, 35, was named Mrs Scotland World in September but judges took back the crown after an anonymous tip-off about her racy past.

Mrs Paweleck thought she did not need to disclose topless modelling work done under her maiden name of Pike while she was in her 20s.

In 2005 she won FHM magazine’s High Street Honeys competition and appeared on the cover. She was featured again in 2007 as well as in rival lads’ mags Zoo and Nuts.

In 2006 she released a single called I Touch Myself with other High Street Honeys.

The Mrs Scotland World title has now been given to runner-up Alana Stott, wife of a former Special Forces soldier who is a close friend of Prince Harry. 

The Mail on Sunday revealed last week that Dean Stott has been accused of cheating on a charity cycle expedition across North and South America. He denies the claims.

Mrs Paweleck last night accused the contest organisers of ‘old-fashioned body shaming’.

She said: ‘To me this pageant should be about showing women can be whatever they want, regardless of the labels that are given to us.

‘My modelling past is not something I have ever hidden. I am proud of what I achieved. 

'I was on the cover of the world’s highest-selling men’s magazine and won the UK’s most popular modelling competition. 

'The choices I made in my early 20s have made me the woman I am today, and I like that woman.’

Mrs World was launched in 1984 as an alternative to Miss World. It is billed as a ‘platform for inspirational married women to make themselves heard and reach out to others’.

Mrs Paweleck, who presents the match day programme on Manchester City Football Club’s TV channel, was excited about competing in the Mrs World finals in China next March. 

But just 36 hours after being crowned, she received a call from a Mrs World UK director saying that an anonymous email threatened to expose her previous career unless she was disqualified.

Mrs Paweleck, who lives in Chester with husband Jamie and is a director of homeless charity The Wellspring, said: ‘These archaic rules need to be re-evaluated. 

'I still believe pageants can be hugely empowering for women, but you either empower all women or ultimately you empower none of us.’

Mrs World UK spokesman Jamie Love said: ‘It was not because she posed topless that she was de-crowned – it was because it was not disclosed.’
