BRAUN STROWMAN has landed himself a new acting gig alongside Will Ferrell.
The WWE superstar features for a few seconds in the trailer for new comedy Holmes and Watson.
Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, appears as a wrestler and is clobbered over the head with a chair by John C. Reilly, who plays Doctor Watson in the Sherlock Holmes movie.
Wrestling fans will have to wait until December 26 to watch the film.
Ferrell and Reilly, who starred together in Step Brothers and Talladega Nights, have come together in Etan Cohen’s movie to create a “humorous” take on the original Sherlock Holmes mysteries.
While this is by far the biggest film Strowman, 35, has ever been in, it is not his first.
In 2016 he played a strongman – his former profession – in Brodie and Cody Lowe’s Three Count.
He has featured as a competitor on The World’s Strongest Man and also appeared on popular Indian TV show Dus Ka Dum as himself.
The film comes as a break to Strowman’s ongoing feud with Roman Reigns.
He is set to fight for the Universal Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel in November.
