Who is Eddie Hearn and what does he do?

Eddie Hearn is a 38-year-old boxing promoter from Essex – and is the son of fellow promoter Barry.

Hearn Snr founded Matchroom Sport, with Eddie acting as group managing director.

He focuses mostly on fulfilling the company’s television deal with Sky Sports – which runs until 2021.

However, Matchroom also have links to darts as well as other events aside from boxing.

Who does Eddie Hearn promote?

Eddie Hearn promotes Matchroom Sport’s world champions, including Crolla, as well as Lee Selby, Kell Brook and Tony Bellew.

Also on the books are Jamie McDonnell, Scott Quigg, James DeGale, Luis Ortiz, Khalid Yafai and Anthony Joshua.

The company also has world title challengers and No1 contenders such as Callum Smith, as well as promoting young prospects including Luke Campbell and Isaac Chamberlain.
