New photo Trump fumes over 'cesspool' of Strzok-Page texts about leaking

President Donald Trump inveighed Thursday against the release of more texts from former FBI lawyers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that referenced people in the government 'leaking like mad.'

The president brought up the 2016 messages a day after they appeared in a Fox News report that dug up still more texts from the former FBI officials, following an earlier release of anti-Trump texts. 

In one of them, Strzok, a former member of special counsel Robert Mueller's team, tells Page that 'our sisters have begun leaking like mad.'

A Fox report on the matter got Trump's attention.

'More text messages between former FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are a disaster and embarrassment to the FBI & DOJ,' This should never have happened but we are learning more and more by the hour,' Trump wrote. 

'Others were leaking like mad' in order to get the President! ........,' Trump wrote, seizing a quote from the texts but then adding his own interpretation.

The president then tweeted a quote from Fox commentator Gregg Jarrett, who has been promoting a new book with a title that uses a phrase ripped from Trump's tweets and rallies: 'The Russia Hoax: The Illicit Scheme To Clear Hillary Clinton And Frame Donald Trump.'

Trump included a quote from Fox commentator Gregg Jarrett, who has a new book calling the Russia probe a 'hoax'

Trump wrote, using quotation marks, 'It is a cesspool of corruption, and the people who did this need to be brought to justice,' then tagged Jarrett's Twitter handle. 

Newly-released cryptic text messages between Strzok Page suggest that other people within the government were 'leaking like mad' before the start of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.

The agents also seemed to devise their own scheme of releasing information just a month after Trump was elected into the White House, and while they were having an affair.

'Think our sisters have begun leaking like mad. Scorned and worried, and political, they're kicking into overdrive,' Strzok wrote to Page in the latest of the couple's texts to become public.

The exchange took place after the election, on December 15, 2016.

'Oh, remind me to tell you tomorrow about the times doing a story about the rnc hacks,' Page wrote Strzok, according to the exchange, which was obtained by Fox News.  

'And more than they already did? I told you Quinn told me they pulling out all the stops on some story…' replied Strzok.

An unnamed source told the network Quinn could refer to Richard Quinn, who ran media for the Investigative Publicity Section in the Office of Public Affairs.

A retired FBI agent speculated that 'sisters' could refer to another law enforcement or intelligence agency.

The exchange came a day after NBC reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin got 'personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election.' 

Prior news accounts shed increasing light on a Kremlin-backed Russian hacking effort to interfere in the U.S. elections.

The new emails emerged following a report that President Trump would move to declassify more materials from the outset of the Russia probe. On Wednesday, Trump signed an executive order to allow for sanctions on people or countries who engage in future election hacking.

Another exchange references 'DD,' who could be now-fired deputy director Andrew McCabe, who Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired after an admonition from the IG and public pressure from President Trump.

The leak of the texts to Fox News comes as President Trump is expected to declassify information from the start of the Russia probe, including surveillance of former foreign policy aide Carter Page for his Russia contacts

'And we need to talk more about putting C reporting in our submission. They're going to declassify all of it…' Strzok wrote, in a possible reference to confidential information.

Page, a former FBI lawyer, wrote back: 'I know. But they're going to declassify their stuff, how do we withhold…'

'We will get extraordinary questions. What we did what we're doing. Just want to ensure everyone is good with it and has thought thru all implications,' Strzok wrote, then adding: 'CD should bring it up with the DD.' CD could be the bureau's cyber division.

Strzok, who previously worked on special counsel Robert Mueller's team, got reassigned to HR after the couple were discovered to have exchanged anti-Trump texts. He was later fired.

Trump blasted the pair on Twitter on the morning of Sept. 11th, quoting conservative host Lou Dobbs. ' New Strzok-Page texts reveal 'Media Leak Strategy,' Trump wrote. 'So terrible, and NOTHING is being done at DOJ or FBI - but the world is watching, and they get it completely.'
