New photo Sydney man plunges 40m to his death from cliff

A man has plunged 40 metres to his death while bushwalking at a popular scenic path south of Sydney.

Emergency services were called to a cliff near the southern end of Sea Cliff Bridge near Wollongong, following reports a man had fallen onto rocks.

The man, aged in his 20s, was with friends when he slipped from the edge of the cliff and fell more than 40m about 12.40pm on Saturday, police said.

Officers from the Wollongong Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Duty Inspector Mark Walker told The Sydney Morning Herald the group had gone up onto the escapement above the bridge but 'It's not meant for people to go sightseeing on; it's not meant for tourists. There was no railing... it's very dangerous'.

Police Rescue retrieved the man's body late Saturday afternoon in a rescue mission which saw the bridge closed.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
