BRITS are set to see cooler weather on Sunday as autumn sets in across the UK.

Today, we can expect to see showers in the north and west of the country. Sunny spells and showers accompanied by strong winds in Scotland will spread into Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and northern England.
Most of England and Wales will stay dry, but will be a little cloudier and cooler than on Saturday.
Later on, showers will gradually ease from the west, but people living in the east of the country will face persistent rain.
It is set to be dry with clear spells in the evening. There may be patchy frost for some Brits on Sunday night.

Weather is set to be changeable in the north with spells of rain, but there will also be some brighter, sunny patches in the week.
There may also be occasional gales in the far north. It will be mostly dry with sunny spells in the south.
Temperatures set to rise across the country towards the end of the week.

There will be a band of cloud and rain moving southwards through the UK next Thursday.
The rain will ease, becoming light and patchy by the time it reaches southern England, which will probably stay rather warm towards the end of the week.
To the north, colder, windy and showery weather is expected.
Friday is likely to be bright, less windy and mainly dry across the UK, after any early morning mist and fog patches clear.
Next weekend and the following week will probably bring a more general spell of wet and windy weather, though the severity of this is uncertain.
Gales are likely in the northwest with the best of any sunshine in the south and east.
Temperatures will tend to be rather cold in the north, but around normal for this time of the year in the south.
It looks to be rather wet and windy for the latter part of October, with gales around Halloween.
